We received our I-800 provisional approval and are very excited!
We are tentatively scheduled for a presentaion day of April 18th!!! Much sooner than we expected.
We bought our plane tickets and are flying into Bogota on the 16th of April (incidentally the same day Sebastian turns 5 months). If all goes well we are weeks away from uniting our family!

I 800 in process
This afternoon a receipt from USCIS arrived in the mail.
This means they have received all our paperwork and our application is being processed.
While reassuring it is still a wait of on average 3-4 weeks (from receipt date of March 10)
before official approval.

I 800
All our paperwork is submitted to USCIS (U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services) and we are waiting for our I 800 form to be approved. Estimated time line 2-4 weeks but with this type of paperwork you never know. We need this approved before we can wait to get a travel date.

Translations are in...
Well we have the English translations of the referral and are hoping to get the medical forms signed tomorrow. Once we finish all the paperwork this weekend we should be able to apply with immigration the beginning of next week. Then we wait to hear from them.... little steps closer.
